Hello!!! Ever heard a quote, “Teaching means learning twice”?

No…

Doesn’t matter. This blog will help you in understanding meaning behind this quote.

This is a very famous quote written by renowned French essayist and moralist, Joseph Joubert. By this quote, he has tried to modernize or update the act of teaching.

When I read this quote for the first time, I really liked the quote. This quote describes teacher as a teacher and as a learner. The one who is in this profession will surely understand that, teaching doesn’t mean the education or the qualification the teacher possess. It involves learning and evaluating teaching standards and the education quality offered to the students.

Teaching should inspire students towards attaining their educational goals. Teachers should have a detailed knowledge about their subject. The teacher should tactfully handle the student’s problem as and when arise. Teachers with less subject knowledge can mislead the student and as a result the student might lose interest in the subject.

Teachers training workshops should be held regularly. Some of the senior teacher continue to go with their old-fashioned and traditional ways of teaching. They often refuse to adopt new and improved teaching methods and consider it as extra work.

You may have heard that most of the teachers these days complain that students don’t respect them. The only reason for this is their outdated teaching methods, which no longer interest the students in their subject. Such teacher becomes less popular and gets less respect or no respect from the students.

A student needs some inspiration from the teachers, to start anything in their lives. The teacher, who keeps on learning, inspires and motivates their students to greater heights. It is a teacher who can make the life of the students from good to best.
