For some this may be a simple translation of a Latin phase, but for those who know University of Chicago, know this is imbibed in the ethos on which the whole university is built. Founded in 1890 by John D. Rockefeller; the University of Chicago holds the distinction of becoming one the leading universities of world. The University of Chicago is famous for ideas and people; which cross more than academic discipline they transcend languages and nations. The curriculum is dedicated specifically to interdisciplinary education, and an emphasis on discussion, rather than lectures. Though the core curriculum has changed substantially over the years, however, original texts and small discussion sections remain a hallmark of University of Chicago’s education policy.

 

The university has currently 5692 undergraduate students and 9502 post graduate, research, and doctoral students enrolled in various courses. The university currently employs 2190 full-time teachers who have an outstanding teaching experience. Life At University of Chicago

The University of Chicago’s housing system is home to 5692 undergraduates and 9502 graduate students. The excellent services offered at the campus are validated by the fact that 97% students choose to stay on campus. After the end of freshmen year, 65% students choose to stay in university provided housing. The university has world class facilities designed to offer exceptional experience to the students. Also, the campus includes 80 diverse facilities consisting of 16 fraternities and 14 sororities.

 

The diverse background of students at UCL is supported by almost 650 organized student groups and 44 recognized religious organizations. Such a strong and rooted system provides students a support system needed succeed to during their stay away from home. All efforts are made to provide an environment reminiscent of their homes and make their education experience memorable. The campus is spread in an area of 217 acres nearby the Hyde National park. The campus has a blend of traditional English Gothic and an award winning modern building which have been designed by renowned architects.The university has a profound commitment to the diversity of community and is focused on cultivating a respectful and inclusive environment where individuals with varying points of view and a broad range of life experiences can engage with and learn from one another.
