The dates for the Joint Engineering Exam (JEE) Main 2016 have been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The test will be conducted in two formats; offline and online. The dates for the offline and online exams are April 3 and April 9, and April10 respectively. The candidates can start the application submission process from December 1, 2015. The last date to register for the exam is December 31, 2015. The detailed exam brochure for the Joint Engineering Exam will be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on December 1, 2015.
No physical applications will be accepted for the exam. Interested and eligible candidates need to apply online for the JEE Main 2016. The Joint Engineering Exam is conducted each year by the CBSE to short list candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded Technical Institutions. Further, some private institutes also accept the JEE scores for admissions to their engineering programs. That said, those candidates who wish to study at prestigious institutes like the IITs/ISM Dhanbad are also shortlisted on the basis of performance in JEE Main and Advance.
