University of Calcutta Inviting Applications for its MBA Programme

The University of Calcutta has initiated the admission process to admit students for its MBA programme. The university is now admitting students for its flagship “Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in Finance.” The programme is offered by the Department of Commerce for the academic session 2016-18. Further, the duration of the programme is two years. To be eligible for the programme the candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with Honours in Arts/Science/Commerce. The selection of the candidates will only be made by analysing the complete academic performance of an individual. The university has derived the following methodology for admission. The past academic achievements will carry 100 marks, performance in the CAT or MAT will carry 50 marks, the performance in the group discussion round will carry 20 marks, the interview round will carry 20 marks, and the work experience will carry 10 marks.


Interested candidates can submit the downloaded forms along with the demand draft of Rs1000 payable at Kolkata. The demand draft can be sent to the Coordinator, MBA in Finance, Calcutta University. The application forms will be available starting November 16, 2015. The candidates will have to submit the forms, latest by February 19, 2016. The university will release the list of eligible candidates by February 26, 2016. The admit card for the GD and PI will be released on March 17, 2016. The GD/viva will be conducted on April 8 and 9, 2016.
